Meta Knight will be in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, it has been confirmed.
Meta Knight's previous appearances in the Smash Bros. games were controversial, due to his strengths far outweighing his weaknesses, leading to the character being banned from some professional tournaments.
In response, Masahiro Sakurai (Smash Bros. Director) has revealed that the latest iteration of Meta Knight will come with a revised moveset, hopefully squashing any qualms players may have had with the character. Sakurai explained via MiiVerse that:
"Meta Knight's Up Special Move, Shuttle Loop, changed quite a bit in this game. The glide is gone, and the attack slashes opponents twice while spinning in a large loop. This has turned into a highly technical and effective move."
