Amongst other things, June's Xbox update will finally give players the option to use external storage on the Xbox One, a growing necessity.
You'll need a drive with that is USB 3.0 and has at least 256 GB. Once you hook up and format the device it'll become the default download destination. You can also hook up two devices at a time.
The update will also allow users to share their real name with their friends if they so wish, will remove the paywall for popular apps, such as Netflix and Hulu, and will introduce automatic sign-in.
SmartGlass will also be getting new features - you'll be able to follow twitch notifications so you can watch a friend's stream on your SmartGlass device. On top of that there are lots of smaller updates to SmartGlass, such as TV listings.
