With the Xbox One's targeted September Japanese release window looming on the horizon, the company is now beginning the process of building up hype there for their new console.
Reported in Famitsu (translated by DualShockers), Microsoft's Phil Spencer has alluded to an exclusive from a Japanese studio set to be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show, also in September:
"I’m very excited about the announcement of the release window in Japan," Spencer said. "An unique exclusive title for Xbox One is going to be released by an awesome Japanese studio."
He went on to say that Microsoft plans to use the Tokyo Game Show to demonstrate something entirely original:
"I’m looking forward to go to Tokyo Game Show this year, and I want to show everyone something never seen before. Stay tuned!"
Though the Xbox 360 managed its share of Japanese exclusives, the Xbox brand has continued to struggle to gain a foothold in a nation traditionally dominated by Nintendo and Sony platforms.
The Tokyo Game Show is scheduled for September 18th through the 21st.
