It hasn't been very long since Respawn Entertainment announced that the resolution of their recently released Sci-Fi shooter Titanfall was only 792p on the Xbox One. However, it appears that will change very soon.
Last month, Respawn Entertainment community manager Abbie Heppe stated that the resolution of Titanfall will likely be increased post-launch to settle at approximately 900p native. However, more details about the resolution bump have come out recently through lead engineer Richard Baker. Speaking to Eurogamer, Baker said that Respawn Entertainment has been experimenting with higher and lower resolutions for Titanfall:
"The target is either 1080p non-antialiasing or 900p with FXAA. We're trying to optimize. We don't want to give up anything for higher res," Baker said. "There's still room for optimization and we're still working on it. Ideally it would have been a rock solid 60 FPS all the time when we shipped."
Baker has confirmed that Xbox One players should see some performance increases not too long after the game's launch.
