Sony's newest home console, the Playstation 4, has already sold one million units in North America. The confirmation came over Twitter, by the Sony Worldwide Studios President Shuehei Yoshida, which reads “PS4 has sold through over 1 million units within 24 hours of the launch in North America!”. This is a highly promising start for the new console, which Sony hopes will sell 5 million units worldwide by March 2014.
The PS4 launched in North America on the 15th November, and will be launching in Europe and Australia on the 29th November. It will be interesting to see if the PS4 can launch as well in the rest of the world as in North America, and if the Xbox One can follow suit (which launches in both America and Europe on the 22nd November).
