Though Activision has previously stated that Call of Duty: Ghosts runs at native 1080p on the PlayStation 4, Digital Foundry's test found that the singleplayer mode only runs at 720p. Activision is aware of the issue and will issue a Day 1 patch to change the singleplayer mode's resolution to 1080p, according to a statement made to Eurogamer yesterday.
"Call of Duty: Ghosts runs natively at 1080p on the PlayStation 4," an Activision spokesperson told Eurogamer. "There was a configuration issue in the retail version on single-player mode only. This has been addressed with a day one software update. People will be able to download the day one update when PlayStation 4 launches in their territory and play at native 1080p."
Without the update, the singleplayer mode will run at an upscaled 1080p. This includes the menu and HUD.
