Fable Anniversary, the Xbox 360 high-definition remake of the original Xbox title Fable, has been pushed to February 2014, missing its original 2013 release date.
News of the delay comes from Lionhead Studios Lead Designer Ted Timmins, stating that the team needs "a little more time in order to meet our ambitions and [the fans] the best game possible."
To smooth out the wait between now and February 2014, Timmins promised to share "screenshots, more game footage and perhaps even some… top secret announcements!" Take from that what you will.
I'm never too bothered by game delays, as it usually means a game I want to play gets more time to be polished. Plus, changing to a 2014 release date, 10 years after the original 2004 release of Fable, makes a bit more sense for a game called Fable Anniversary, doesn't it?
