The latest entry in the genre-defining Wolfenstein series, Wolfenstein: The New Order, was revealed at QuakeCon today to be delayed into 2014.
Its original release date was set for this winter, but according to Bethesda vice President of of public relations and marketing, Pete Hines, the delay is to give the game "additional time for polish."
Sounds good to me. Wolfenstein 3D birthed the first-person shooter as we know it, so I'm always excited to see new entries in the series, but 2009's Wolfenstein left a lot to be desired. Additional time for polish could go a long way to help put the franchise back on its feat.
