Veteran video game voice actor Nolan North, most well known for his roles in Uncharted, Assassin's Creed, Deadpool, and virtually every video game in existence, will portray one of the seven selectable voices for Saints Row IV's protagonist, who just also happens to be the President of the United States.
But here's the twist. If you select North's voice for the main character, he won't simply providing another version of the male protagonist. He will be portraying himself, the real-life Nolan North, in the role of President of the United States.
This news comes from SaintsRowMods.com, who reportedly got to play a press preview build of the game, stating:
"The super secret voice is... Nolan North! This isn't just Nolan North doing a male voice though. This is Nolan North referring to himself in the game as Nolan North, our [President of the United States]. It is wildly amusing if you're a fan of any of Nolan's previous work."
This type of meta-humor is insanely clever, and makes me even more excited for Saints Row IV. It's also incredibly interesting, as North's most recent high-profile performance was in the recently-released Deadpool game, which also relies heavily on meta, fourth-wall breaking humor.
