Chris Seavor, a former bigwig at Rare and the creator of the beloved Nintendo 64 game Conker's Bad Fur Day, is returning to Nintendo platforms next year. Nintendo Life reavealed Seavors new title, The Unlikely Legend of Rusty Pup, and it will release on the Wii U and 3DS eShop in 2014.
Seavor describes the new title as a sad, mature, adult story. He believes it will be fun and adult with some dark humor in it, but he said he's not including any of the profanity that made Conker famous. Seavor is giving the game a narrative focus, and the game centers around the relationship between Rust and you, the narrator of the game.
It will be a 2D platformer with a few twists. The dog can move in and out of the screen, and the player can affect the game world in some ways, Lemmings style. Seavor was light on the details for now so as not to spoil too much of the game.
