Since the reveal of Rayman Legends, it was assumed that the game would be a Wii U exclusive. But today, Ubisoft Montreal tweeted news to the contrary - Rayman Legends will broaden its horizons and release on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this September.
[UPDATE] There is, however, bad news for Wii U owners. According to Ubisoft's press release, "All versions now will hit shelves in early September 2013." This means that the Wii U version, orginially scheduled for later this month, will be delayed to release simultaneously with the PS3 and 360 versions of the game.
As of now, there is no word on which regions that September release window applies to, but since Ubisoft Montreal tweeted the information, it's safe to assume that it will at least arrive in North America during September.
Now, those gamers without a Wii U who enjoyed the brilliant Rayman Origins will get to experience Rayman's follow up adventure. We were impressed by the game at E3 and we are quite happy to see that Rayman Legends will have its potential audience expanded come September.
