Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City are the best thing to happen to Batman in video games since, well, ever, so everyone has been wondering what Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios to make a second follow-up. Now, it appears we have our first hint at what that could be.
Warner Bros. has registered a plethora of domain names featuring various combinations of "Batman", "Dark Knight", and "Arkham", suggesting a new entry to Batman's Arkham series. Check out below for the full list:
arkhamuniverse.com (Arkham Universe)
batmanarkahmuniverse.com (Batman Arkham Universe)
batmanarkhamarises.com (Batman Arkham Arises)
batmanarkhambegins.com (Batman Arkham Begins)
batmanarkhamdarkknight.com (Batman Arkham Dark Knight)
batmanarkhamknight.com (Batman Arkham Knight)
batmanarkhamlegend.com (Batman Arkham Legend)
batmanarkhamlegends.com (Batman Arkham Legends)
batmanarkhamnight.com (Batman Arkham Night)
batmanarkhamorigins.com (Batman Arkham Origins)
batmanarkhamstories.com (Batman Arkham Stories)
darkknightarkham.com (Dark Knight Arkham)
dcarkhamuniverse.com (DC Arkham Universe)
dcarkhamverse.com (DC Arkhamverse)
thearkhamuniverse.com (The Arkham Universe)
A new Arkham game seems most likely, but they could also be prepping a new film (The Dark Knight Rises made infinity money at the box office, after all), or maybe even a new comic book run. While it should be noted that new domain registries aren't a guarantee of a new product, they are usually a good indicator that something is coming.
What do you guys think this could be? A third Arkham game? An expansion to DC Universe Online? Lego Batman 3: Arkham Playset?
