Back when it released in 2010, BioShock 2 was heavily criticized for its multiplayer mode, which many accused of being forced and not meshing well with the rest of the game. It appears that series creator Ken Levine has taken this criticism to heart, confirming that multiplayer will not be appearing in the upcoming BioShock Infinite.
The conformation comes from Ken Levine's Twitter account, responding to a query from a curious fan.
BioShock Infinite was rumored to not be including a multiplayer mode earlier this year, but this more or less confirms it. With this year's criticism of Spec Ops: The Line's lackluster multiplayer and the recent announcement of Metro: Last Light's lack of multiplayer mode, hopefully this news spells the end of shoe-horned multiplayer in gaming.
