Rejoice, fellow Mirror's Edge fans! We finally have some good news to report. Rumours have been swirling for some time that Mirror's Edge 2 was in development. No sooner had fans of the first title began hyping the news than it appeared that the project had been put on the back burner, if not cancelled altogether.
But it looks like Mirror's Edge 2 is in fact in the works. Following an interview with OXM by EA Games Vice President, Patrick Sodurland, in which he stated that DICE don't want to "become a Battlefield factory" and that they are working on other projects.
Cue rumours and speculation about a Mirror's Edge sequel. But wait! More than that. Ben Cousins, General Manager of ngmoco Sweden and former Executive Producer of the Battlefield franchise, popped up on Twitter to say:
"It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror's Edge 2 is in production at DICE."
