Now that the Wii U has hit store shelves, it looks like Nintendo has already made a full transition to the new system, announcing that there are currently no more Wii titles in development at Nintendo.
According to Nintendo Director of Product Marketing Bill Trinen, the company's focus is now 100% on the Wii U and its launch. However, he states Nintendo hasn't completely abandoned the Wii, through "things like Nintendo Selects or a lot of the users [who] are still using their Wii to deliver Netflix content."
A lot of the best games from systems came during the launch of their successors, such as PS2's Okami and God of War II. I'm glad to see Nintendo going full speed on the Wii U, but I'm just a little sad we won't be seeing any more from the Wii.
