A big part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops II marketing was the inclusion of the "Nuketown 2025" map with pre-orders of the game, so many gamers were upset when Treyarch announced earlier today that the map would be pulled from online playlists, relegating it to Custom Games and upcoming "special events"
Under immense negative reaction from fans, however, Treyarch has decided to put the map back into online playlist rotations, though in a limited fashion. The news came from Black Ops II design director David Vonderhaar, who tweeted:
"You killed the messenger, but I still fight for the users. RT to#bringbackNuketown2025 a nd we will add to a small maps moshpit."
It was an interesting decision to pull the map in the first place, considering it was such a huge incentive in pre-ordering the game, but at least Treyarch listened to its fans and brought it back.
