The X-COM series is have a resergence as of late, with Firaxis' reboot XCOM: Enemy Unknown impressing both longtime fans and newcomers with its deep and refreshing tactical gameplay. If you love the franchise or were just impressed by its latest entry, pay attention, as the creator of the X-COM franchise, Julian Gollop, is working on a sequel to his 1985 tactical game Chaos: The Battle of Wizards.

The announcement came over Gollop's Twitter account, stating "OK it's official! I am working on a sequel/remake to my classic ZX Spectrum game 'Chaos', for iOS, PC, Mac", and "hopefully Android, Linux and Ouya as well."
Chaos was originally releasing for the ZX Spectrum, and after its release Gollop went on to release a sequel titled Lords of Chaos in 1990, before spearheading X-COM: UFO Defense in 1993. No release date or official title has been given for the upcoming sequel.
