Following the recent bundles of the God of War and inFamous franchises, as well as the upcoming Killzone trilogy set, Sony has announced the "Resistance Collection", collecting Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Resistance 3 into one $39.99 package for the PlayStation 3. The collection will also include all of the DLC included for Resistance 2 and 3, making this collection pretty much a steal for $39.99.
For those unfamiliar, the Resistance franchise consists of a series of first-person shooters that depicts an alternate-reality in which World War II never happened, and the world's militaries must fend off an alien invasion during the 1950s. Created by Insomniac Games, best known for the Ratchet & Clank series, each entry drew critical acclaim for its bleak setting, massive battles, and creative weaponry. Insomniac has since left the franchise (which has also seen PSP and Vita entries from other developers), so it will be interesting to see how Sony supports it into the future.
