Today, Ubisoft released a new trailer for upcoming action-adventure title Assassin's Creed III.

It begins as a story trailer, speaking of the Boston Tea Party. It tells the story of how the people of Boston, one of the wealthiest cities in the Colonies, revolted against British rule by throwing crates of British tea into the sea, an important symbolic gesture that helped to launch the American Revolution. This is shown in a freeze-frame comic-book style reminiscent of inFamous.

The American patriotism draws to an end, however, with the solemn statement that the narrator would be teaching the viewer (and presumably, the protagonist Connor) about "another revolution, the one that mattered." Some gameplay footage follows, but nothing very new is shown. Watch the trailer for yourself:

Assassin's Creed III is set for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America on 30th October, and Europe on 31st October. PC and Wii U releases follow in late November.
