Codemasters' upcoming sequel to its 2008 racing hit, Race Driver: GRID, received its first set of gameplay clips/trailers today. The original certainly impressed us, so we've got some pretty lofty expectations for GRID 2.
Both videos, which you can view below, show off 'pre-Alpha' footage. First up is Chicago-based street racing, which features muscle cars, including the Camaro SS, Z06 Corvette and Boss Mustang, charging through skyscraper-lined streets and tunnels:
The second clip shows off a head-to-head, point-to-point race along the California Coast between the contemporary Boss Mustang and a classic Mustang Mach 1:
The game will also be playable for the first time ever today at the Eurogamer Expo in London, so if you're attending you're in for a treat. GRID 2 is due to be released sometime in 2013
