Dead or Alive 5 released in North America today, and tucked away in that box is a code to redeem...hold your groans please...an Online Pass. The game joins the ever growing list of titles charging second-hand buyers a fee to access the online multiplayer. As per the standard, those who buy the game new will be granted entry at no additional fee.

If you do buy used or rent and do not want to pay right away, the game offers a two-day free trial assigned to your Xbox Live Gamertag or PSN ID, after which, a $10 purchase is required.
